These homemade brioche buns are light and delicious. As the bbq season gets underway, these buns are perfect as a hamburger bun or simply add your favourite filling for a tasty lunch.
Ingredients
500g bread flour
250g warm milk
50g warm water
7g yeast
12g caster sugar
7g salt
75g melted butter
1 egg
Method
Add all ingredients to a stand mixer with a dough hook attachment and knead the dough for around 10 minutes.
Once the dough is sufficiently kneaded remove it from the machine and place it in a clean bowl.
Cling film and leave the dough to prove for 1 hour in a warm place.
Remove the dough from the bowl and weigh it in to 8 equal portions.
Shape the dough in to balls and place on baking tray or tin and leave to prove again for 30-40 minutes
Egg wash the top of the buns and bake for 30 minutes at 200c.
