Purpose 

Chocolate masters Belcolade have launched a stunning refresh of their entire brand. The move is designed to better reflect Belcolade’s taste-focused, sustainable, and innovative vision. It aligns with the purpose of Puratos (Belcolade’s parent company) which evolved in early 2022 ‘to move the planet forward by creating innovative food solutions for the health & well-being of people everywhere’. This reflects the progressive and ethically minded brand. 

The range continues to include classic Belcolade Selection as well as Origins, with the exciting addition of the Expression range which uses fermentation to deliver unique tastes in chocolate.

Belcolade - a new look for a new era

Along with adopting a distinctive new identity, including a fresh new style for packaging, visuals and communications, Belcolade is transitioning to fully sustainable and recycle-ready packaging, as well as enhancing its digital offering to improve access to technical expertise and co-operative innovation.

The move to mono-materials means the packaging is now ready to be recycled as only PE plastics are used. 

Whilst the material focuses on sustainability, the design has been rethought with user at its heart. The packing products are now easily identifiable through their colour coding, whilst the design has also increased readability. To allow customers to better understand the product a sensory description has been added along with a QR code linking customers directly to the website for more detailed information. 

The colours for the different products are as follows

Production roll out

To avoid any unnecessary waste the new packaging will roll out gradually starting with 15kg bags. This will be followed by 5kg bags, 1kg bags, blocks and then finally all other forms.
