Made with two of the fantastic products from Essential Cuisine, this sauce takes very little time to prepare and cook.
Ingredients20g butter 200g shallots, finely chopped 1 sprig fresh thyme 2 bay leaves 500ml Essential Cuisine No1 beef gravy 500ml Essential Cuisine peppercorn sauce 60ml double cream Good twist of freshly ground pepper Sea salt, to your seasoning preference |
MethodMelt the butter in a suitable pan and add the chopped shallots, thyme and bay leaves. Fry gently until tender, with not too much colour. Pour in the Essential Cuisine No1 beef gravy, Essential Cuisine peppercorn sauce and the cream. Bring to the boil and simmer for 5 minutes, to coating consistency. Remove bay leaves and thyme. Finally season to your taste, your beef and peppercorn sauce is now ready to serve, with grilled steak and garnish. |
