Vegan apple and hazelnut crumble

Turning the traditional apple crumble on it's head! This delicious vegan friendly dessert provides crunch and flavour in every bite.

Hazelnut crumble ingredients

  • Sosa Hazelnut Pure Paste : 100g
  • Sosa Glicemul : 6g
  • water : 20g
  • Salt :
  • caster sugar : 100g
  • plain flour : 100g

Hazelnut crumble method

  • Melt the Glicemul and Hazelnut Pure Paste and heat to 60°C.
  • Once the Glicemul is dissolved add the water and emulsify.
  • Add all the solids and mix it until a homogeneous texture is achieved.
  • Lay the mixture irregularly on parchment paper and bake it at 160°C for 10 minutes.

Apple filling ingredients

  • cooking apples : 4 large
  • white sugar (can add more sugar if you desire) : 100g
  • water : Splash

Apple filling method

  • Cook the apples, sugar and water together in a large pan until the apples have softened and started to breakdown.
  • Spoon as much filling as desired into the vegan friendly pastry cases and pile on your hazelnut crumble and enjoy.
