Spring is in the air and nothing heralds the start of the new season like flowers and Easter bunnies!

A clever and super-cute serving suggestion for your spring gelato flavours are these gorgeous chocolate flower pots from the Dobla decor range. Available in orange, green, white, dark, pink and blue, these coloured white chocolate flowerpots stand 55mm tall with a diameter of 62mm, making them the perfect carrier for a scoop of ice cream.

Dark chocolate flowerpot

Ingredients

3 litres white base

1200g Republica del Cacao Ecuador Amazonia dark chocolate (75%) buttons 

120g Sosa dextrose

Method

Warm the white base up to around 70˚C.

Blend in the dark chocolate and dextrose.

Place into the batch freezer. 

On extraction, fill a piping bag and then pipe the gelato into your chocolate flower pot.

Dark chocolate bunny made by filling a half sphere mould with tempered chocolate.

For the eyes, pipe white chocolate circles onto baking parchment and allow to dry, then add dark chocolate eyeballs. The ears can be made using silicon moulds.

240g Irca Joypaste mango flavour paste

Method

Blend the paste into the white base.

Place into the batch freezer.

On extraction, fill a piping bag and then pipe the gelato into your flowerpot.

240g Rubicone natural colour cherry flavour paste

Method

Blend the paste into the white base.

Place into the batch freezer.

On extraction, fill a piping bag and then pipe the gelato into your flowerpot.
